BancorpSouth Bank announces that Grace Clark of Tupelo has been elected to the BancorpSouth Bank Board of Directors.
In making the announcement, BancorpSouth Chairman and CEO Aubrey B. Patterson said, "BancorpSouth is extremely proud to have such a respected humanitarian and community leader join our Board of Directors. Grace Clark has been a part of the BancorpSouth family through her service on the BancorpSouth Tupelo Local Advisory Board. We are pleased that she will now provide invaluable leadership and counsel to our Company through service on the BancorpSouth Bank Board of Directors."
Clark is a graduate of Mississippi University for Women where she earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics with a minor in political science.
Over the past 30 years, Clark has served the community as a board member of the Commission on the Future of Northeast Mississippi; president of the Tupelo Housing Authority Board of Commissioners; member of the BancorpSouth Tupelo Local Advisory Board; board member and past chairman of CREATE Foundation; board member of Family Resource Center, Journal Publishing, North Mississippi Health Services, Healthcare Foundation of North Mississippi - past president; and United Way of Northeast Mississippi - past president. In addition, she has served as a past president of Tupelo Junior Auxiliary and a member of the Tupelo Garden Club.
Grace is married to Doug Clark, M.D., is the mother of three children and has three grandchildren. The Clarks are members of First United Methodist Church where she has served as chairman of the Administrative Council and Staff Parish Relations Committee.
