BancorpSouth, Inc. Declares Quarterly Dividend

TUPELO, Miss.

At their regular quarterly meeting on January 23, 2008, the Board of Directors of BancorpSouth, Inc. declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.21 per common share. The dividend is payable April 1, 2008 to shareholders of record at the close of business on March 14, 2008.

BancorpSouth also announced today that net income for 2007 was $137.9 million or $1.69 per diluted share.

BancorpSouth, Inc., with total assets of approximately $13.2 billion, operates banking, insurance and financial service offices in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas and Louisiana.
