BancorpSouth Reschedules First Quarter Earnings Release and Webcast

BancorpSouth, Inc. announced today that the company will reschedule the release of its first quarter 2007 earnings until after the close of the financial markets on Monday, April 23, while management considers the early adoption of Statement of Financial Accounting Standards No. 159, issued in February by the Financial Accounting Standards Board. The company will hold a webcast and analyst conference call on Tuesday, April 24 beginning at 9:00 a.m. CDT.

The webcast is live coverage of management's conference call with analysts and can be found on the company's internet site (www.bancorpsouth.com). This will be an interactive session between management and analysts; others may listen to the live broadcast as it happens.
